Low Traffic Neighborhood (LTN)
Exemptions for some Primary Care Staff

Haringey Council has approved vehicle exemptions for some primary care staff needing to travel for work purposes through the borough’s camera-enforced Low Traffic Neighbourhoods.

The exemptions are for three months and they cover vehicle registrations which were submitted earlier this year via the Federation following consultation with all Haringey practices. Some exemptions have already been approved and the individuals who made those requests will be contacted by Haringey Council.

Statement from Haringey Council

Haringey Council has received requests from BEH and various GPs for exemptions to the LTNs and have agreed to provide these on a temporary basis for three months, subject to review. We are pleased to confirm that action has been taken on these requests, and the vehicles that have been exempted can now drive through the requested LTNs, as specified in the attached spreadsheets.

It is important to note that the exempted vehicles can only drive through filters that are camera enforced and have a sign plate that states “except permit holders with a code for the LTN” - as shown in the first image below. If this sign plate is not present underneath the “No Motor Vehicle” red circle sign, the exemption will not apply. Please be aware that this exemption will not apply to diagonal filters and a small number of locations. Additionally, the exemption will not apply to School Street filters.
